2010 Armed Forces Day Inverness 
PROGRAMME

12:15 ~ Massed Pipes and Drums will assemble at Falcon Square

12:50 ~ Massed pipes and drums will march from Falcon Square to the High Street walking precinct via Hamilton Street (not playing) and will join the marching parade.

13:00 ~ Massed pipes, drums and parade will march towards the Town House playing MARCH OF THE CAMERON MEN & PIOBROCH OF DONALD DUBH

The Parade will remain on the walking precinct and the pipe bands will continue towards Bridge Street traffic lights. The Inverness Royal British Legion (Scotland) Pipe Band will detach from the massed pipe bands and form outside the Town House.

13.10 The Inverness Royal British Legion (Scotland) Pipes & Drums will march to the colour party playing HIGHLAND LADDIE

The colour party will then join the parade and the Inverness Royal British Legion (Scotland) Pipes & Drums will then join the ranks of the massed pipes and drums.

13:15 The Massed pipes, drums and parade will march to the Northern Meeting Park playing THE GREEN HILLS OF TYROL & BATTLES OER & LOCHANSIDE

A salute will be taken on Ardross Terrace close to the Palace Hotel

13:20 Arriving at the Northern Meeting Park the bands will continue to play

13:30 Massed pipes and drums will enter the arena playing CASTLE DANGEROUS & & I SEE MULL & MY LAND

The Games Chieftain Provost Jimmy Gray will then open the Games.

13:40 The massed pipes and drums will then leave the arena playing
CASTLE DANGEROUS & I SEE MULL & MY LAND

15:30 Massed pipes and drums will enter the arena and will play WINGS
& SCOTLAND THE BRAVE & THE ROWAN TREE & BONNIE GALLOWAY

16:30pm (Approx) There will be a drum head service. Massed pipes and drums will enter the arena playing LEAVING PORT ASKAIG & FAREWELL TO THE GREEKS. The massed pipes and drums will march on the parade followed by the standard bearers. A short drum head service and presentation will then take place.

Massed pipes and drums will then march off the colour party playing
HIGHLAND LADDIE. Massed pipes and drums will then play LEAVING PORT ASKAIG & FAREWELL TO THE GREEKS

Massed pipes and drums will then leave the arena where the parade will dismiss.
