The annual Hogmanay Ecumenical Service is one of the most popular traditional events in the Winter Festival Calendar bringing together as it does the people of Inverness for an interdenominational service of thanks at the end of each year. This year's Service will take the form of Choral Evensong and the Preacher will be Father James Bell from S. Mary's Roman Catholic Church Inverness. Everybody is welcome to attend this Service and we hope that those of you visiting Inverness for the first time will take this opportunity to experience a service in our beautiful cathedral.

Jon Carter and Lottie. Jon Carter makes his return to Inverness after an energetic debut at the Ironworks last February and rocking set at Rockness in the summer! Jon Carter has exported his own particular brand of quality madness to the four corners of the globe for over 15 years. He rose to prominence as a resident of the era-defining Heavenly Social in 1994, playing legendary weekly sessions alongside the Chemical Brothers and Fatboy Slim in the sweaty basement of The Albany pub in central London, and then moving on for many years at Turnmills. This summer it's all been about the festivals for Jon, with an appearance at almost every major event, including being one of Rizla's 'Invisible Players' touring to incredible effect in what has undoubtedly been the highlight of every site they appear at. DJ, remixer, producer, recording artist, pub landlord. One thing's pretty certain - if you're looking for Jon, he's probably not in... Jon is teaming up with Manumission Resident DJ Lottie who makes her return to the Highlands after DJing at Rockness 2008. Winning awards such as Sony Ericsson Musik magazine’s "Best New DJ" and Dance stars "Best breakthrough DJ" in the last decade she found her first residency at London’s infamous club Turnmills. Now known best for her edgy, electronic style Lottie enthuses about her love of producing and playing to thousands of people..... “I'm always hungry for new music and I think that's what makes a good DJ,” she exclaims. “When I'm playing music I want people to really enjoy themselves, but I also want them to hear stuff that they haven't heard before that messes with their minds”. This year sees her reside at Manumission in Ibiza at their new home Amnesia.."This year's going to be really special I can't wait! The new home makes everything feel so fresh and Manumission is the craziest party on Earth!". Resident Filth DJs Andrew McGibbon and Ross Lyall have been DJing for many years and at some of the area's biggest dance nights alongside some of the country's best DJs.
