The biggest weekend of 2016 kicks off with a party in the streets of Inverness as we welcome Highland Games fans from around the world. We will be asking the City of Inverness Pipe Band, Mascot Madness and the Fraser School of Highland Dancing friends to provide the warmest of welcomes to the Highland Capital. River Ness Beer Festival | Nicky Tams Restaurant and Bar at Glen Mhor Hotel - 12:30
For the third year running, The River Ness Beer Festival is back and showcasing local beers and ales from Aviemore to Elgin with a guest spot for Belhaven. The biggest Highland Games in the north of Scotland will be bigger than ever before. This year's show will feature everything you would expect at a traditional Highland Games and a whole lot more as the North's biggest Truck Show - TruckNess - is added to the list of great attractions for everyone to enjoy. This year's show will feature a full programme of track and field and heavy events; Clan Village; Exclusively Highlands Craft Fair; Highland Dancing competitions; Scottish Country Dancing; Solo Piping and Massed Pipe Bands. Admission is only 5 for adults and 3 for concessions with under 5's admitted free.

The biggest Truck show in the Highlands has moved the banks of Loch Ness to the banks of the River Ness as part of the Inverness Highland Games and Gala Weekend. Don't forget your camera. (TruckNess will be staged all day on Saturday and on Sunday Morning. The Grand TruckNess Departure Parade will happen at 12:00 Noon on Sunday)

The biggest Clan Village in the north of Scotland returns as the Association of Highland Clans and Societies makes its annual visit to the Inverness Highland Games. Inverness Highland Games and Gala Weekend Day Two | Bught Park, Inverness - 10:00 - 17:00
Admission to the second day of our big weekend is free by popular demand. The main attractions is the arena will be a Shinty Tournament and the Highland Strongest Man and Strongest Women's competition plus an attempt at the World Haggis Hurling Competition. The TruckNess Grand Parade will take place at noon and will be followed by the first ever Inverness Wheelbarrow Grand Prix. Our park will be filled with stalls and exhibitions and Horne's Funfair so come and enjoy one of the biggest Gala Days the Highlands has ever seen
