RUFF NESS | Bught Park Inverness - 13.00
RUFF NESS (SUNDAY JULY 21st) Parade from Eden Ct Theatre 1pm Bught Park Stadium 2pm Ruff Ness – Scotland’s first Highland Games for dogs with attitude – makes its debut at Bught Park on Gala Sunday and hopes are high that it will become an annual Gathering for our four legged friends. Dogs are asked to bring their owners to Eden Court Theatre at 1pm for a Fancy Dress Parade to Bught Park which will bring up the rear of the Proud Ness Parade. Upon arrival all dogs are invited to enter Ruffts Dog Show and compete for one of the prestigious Ruff Ness Rosettes that will be on offer. The categories to be contested will be Ruff Bitch, Ruff Dog, Ruff Mutt, Ruff Pup and Really Ruff if any seriously ugly dogs appear on the day. One dog will then be crowned Supreme Ruffian and will be awarded 12 months exclusive use of a city centre lamppost of their choice . Rosettes will also be award to winners of the two Fancy Dress titles - 4 legs and 6 legs – and while the judges are deliberating and counting their bribes; dogs and owners will be invited to participate in a series of challenges. Spectators will be invited to gather in the main grandstand to watch the first ever Ruff Ness Disobedience Classes featuring an Obstacle Course, Sausage Race, Barrel Racing and a Sweet Race for Children. The event will end with a 50m dash for owners and dogs for the Ruff Ness Pooper Scooper Trophy.
