On behalf of the members of the Inverness City Committee it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Inverness Winter Festival.
From Halloween to Hogmanay Party, I hope you and your family will enjoy the wide range of activities and events that will be on offer for us all to enjoy.

Last year our Festivals Working Group was given the task of creating a brand new community festival that would showcase Inverness City in a very traditional and very imaginative way. The 2008 Inverness Winter Festival events were watched by almost 40,000 people who left us in no doubt that they wanted the Festival to return in 2009.

A year ago we asked a whole host of organisations and individuals of all ages to use their imaginations and talents to help us to create a Winter Festival that could only happen in the Highland capital of Inverness. A big festival. Our festival.
The rest as they say is history and the warmth of the reaction to the first Inverness Winter Festival is something we shall never forget.
